About being recognized, Debbie said, “What a wonderful day to have family and friends celebrate with me at Houston Museum of Natural Science awards luncheon. I won Science Teacher of the Year. Thanks to all who were there for me!”
We celebrate Debbie’s passion for showing middle school students that they can do anything by discovering their talent and passion and adding a few skills along the way. Debbie and her students received the original Lead4Change Challenge award in 2013.
Debbie has continued to use the Lead4Change lessons to turn timid 8th graders into service-minded leaders for life. One of Debbie’s students from the 2013 team, Charles Moreton, shares his thoughts here.
Debbie is a member of our Educator Advisory Board. She would love to connect with you and exchange ideas. If you are a private school teacher, Debbie can share how she implements Lead4Change in her school.
For Debbie and her science students, the sky is not the limit – they go way beyond!!! Congratulations on this well deserved recognition Debbie!!
