Across the state of North Carolina, middle and high school students are being prepared to Now Go Lead through the Lead4Change lessons and projects. More than 250 educators are part of the Lead4Change community. They represent public, private and charter schools across 6-12th grades.
Meet Suzie Melton, a middle school educator at Jay M Robinson Middle School in Charlotte, NC. For several years Suzie has taken students in the classroom and the FBLA club through the Lead4Change lessons. They develop their leadership skills, design and implement a service project and share their story with others!!
Their story made the news in 2017 (See the story here). With Suzie’s help, Lead4Change has been shared with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, the NC State CTE administrators, and FBLA chapters regionally. Taking people with you is a key concept taught in Lead4Change lessons, and Suzie is modeling this leadership.
Jay M Robinson Middle School is just one of our Certified Schools. The criteria is shown here. We invite you to register and begin accessing the free lessons and resources. If you are already registered, we can’t wait to hear the story of your students’ journey through the lessons and project. Find out how to enter the Challenge here.
Thank you, North Carolina Educators, for developing future leaders with a service-minded perspective!
