As we complete the first round of the Lead4Change Challenge, we are struck by the words and feelings of our participating educators. The last year of “going to school” has been an uphill walk — or maybe more of a windy road hike – for all of us.
Be inspired and encouraged by the responses to “How has the Lead4Change Program affected you, the adult leader of a team?” Here are a few of the responses. We will continue to share other thoughts throughout the year.
“My students are so resilient and were so eager to make a difference. They were so concerned with others and how they were handling the isolation and lack of social interaction.” ~~ Michelle, Teacher, Arizona
“My Lead4Change experience this year reminded me of the resilience of our young people, and the bright future we will have in the years to come because of their leadership.” ~~ David, Teacher, Virginia
“When I first found Lead4Change, I did not know what exactly to expect. However, as I started teaching the lessons and planning the meetings, it left a profound impact on me. The students loved coming to the meetings to discuss and reflect on their project. It was amazing being able to watch the students develop overtime and for them to notice themselves how they were changing as leaders. In all honesty, teaching Lead4Change changed my definition of what it means to be a leader and has helped me as an adult become better myself.” ~~ Judy, Parent, California
“I believe that students can teach their teachers as much as I can teach them! I am truly amazed at the passion and dedication that my students have shown throughout this process! They are truly “change agents” and will be one of the future changers of our world. I love being able to share this program with them and love to see how they grow and learn throughout the process!” ~~ Stephanie, Teacher, Pennsylvania
