Shelia Benskin is an exceptional human resources and education professional with more than 20 years of experience developing and implementing education, training and human capital initiatives. She is passionate about working with youth to enhance employability skills for future success in college and the workplace. Shelia has parlayed her experience working in the corporate world to a position in Lancaster ISD. Shelia worked previously with Dallas ISD as an Instructional Specialist. Shelia received her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, FL and her Master’s in Educational Leadership from Concordia University.
She and her husband, Al, reside in Dallas, Texas. They have five adult children and three granddaughters. In her spare time, she loves writing creatively and is a published author of the novel, Tangled roots: Seeds of Unforgiveness, which can be found on Amazon.com. She serves as a greeter at her church, Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship.
