Lead4Change is a program with leadership lessons. For 6-12th grade students, the most important part of learning is putting those lessons into practice. The way to do that is to develop and implement a service project — and every step is taught in the lessons.
Students today — in your class or online learning group – need to learn how to put learning into action. How to transfer a lesson learned to an action taken.
We all want to develop new skills — and we all want a safe place to practice until we have mastered a skill.
Community service is that safe place. Why not learn leadership while also helping those around you?!
In a recent online training session, students told us, overwhelmingly, that the #1 issue they thought needed attention was mental health – for themselves and their peers. They want solutions and they want to be a part of the solution.
One Lead4Change team took this issue to heart in 2018 and created a project called No More Stalling. Their work is showcased in the video above. This is just one example of students using their own best skills and taking action!
How can you use Lead4Change to give your students the skills and activities to turn their concerns and ideas into effective action? What an awesome opportunity to engage students to be emerging leaders for today’s issues!
Your students have ideas, have a passion for change, want a voice in the world and need the skills to be effective, innovative, powerful leaders 4 change!
We can’t wait to see what they will do!
