As students design their Lead4Change projects using the lessons, they will become aware of many needs around them in their school and community. Especially during the holidays, the needs become more evident. Once they choose their focus area – let students talk to charities involved in the kind of project they are considering.
Often students get involved in holiday programs to help others. Sometimes a charity will redirect a team to the non-holiday time periods where there is a different need. Or, a great project idea could turn into something different when students talk to experts and find out exactly what is needed this year. The best ideas come from research – negotiation – and teamwork.
You can find great idea starters from past Lead4Change projects in our Virtual and In Person Project Idea resources.
We appreciate the gift of service from every Lead4Change team. There is no better way to practice new leadership skills than making your school and community a better place.
