The final step in project creation is shaping the project development framework. In the Lead4Change lessons, this activity appears in the 12-track, Lesson 4 and in the 6-track, Lesson 3.
The lessons offer tips throughout, and this activity tip is:
“Reach out to nonprofit organizations by phone or by email using the contact information listed. What is your message to these nonprofit organizations? How will you share your BIG GOAL and its relationship with the nonprofit organization? Who will make the call, prepare, and send the email message?”
Communicating with an organization that has expertise on the topic of your project ensures you approach the project using support and resources readily available in your community. On the team, students can assign roles and reach out to a variety of organizations to shape their project.
